1971 FORD TORINO 500

Sporting the Special Value Package C appearance option, this handsome Atlanta-built 1971 Ford Torino 500 Hardtop is also known as a “Spring Special Halo Edition” car. Featuring a distinctive black vinyl roof treatment outlining the roof only, with surrounding chrome strips and red accents, this Pewter Gray example represents one of the three paint colors available with the package. Just 32,900 examples were produced in all during the spring of 1971.  Red accents to the door panels and front and rear seating surfaces of the excellent and correct black interior add curb appeal. Paint is very good in quality, with few imperfections. Ample power is delivered by the original F-code 302 “Windsor” V-8 engine inside the tidy engine bay, delivering 210 BHP with an economical 2-barrel intake and 3-speed C4 automatic transmission and highway-friendly 2.79:1 rear end. Other highlights include power steering, an upgraded Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo unit, and a great-looking set of chrome Magnum 500 wheels mounting BFG Radial T/A tires. Appraised value of $45,000.
