1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

As one of the most famous and capable on- and off-road vehicles ever produced, Toyota’s long-running FJ40 Land Cruiser is an unqualified collector favorite today. Built for virtually any purpose imaginable, these two-door, four-wheel drive icons include a removable hardtop and doors, plus a fold-down windshield frame for unmatched utility and pure open-air enjoyment. Featuring a repaint in Blue with a White roof finish, this example from 1970 retains its rugged, no-frills interior with operating instruction decals and an under-dash heater/defroster in place, a body-color refinish, and a restored split front bench seat retrimmed in Saddle leather. Retaining the proper Toyota “F” series inline 6-cylinder engine, 3-speed manual transmission, and 4-wheel drive system, this FJ40 is also equipped with electric windshield wipers, a new exhaust system, fresh Grey painted steel wheels, and new-appearing and very aggressive Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac M+S all-terrain tires. Usability is enhanced with an extended front bumper mounting a Badland electric winch, twin towing hooks, and Hella driving lights. A Rampage 48-inch jack is at the ready, mounted just ahead of the passenger door. To the rear is a very substantial spare-tire carrier/supplemental bumper of square tubular steel, mounting a spare Grey painted steel wheel and Wrangler Duratrac tire. Cargo access is via a flip-up rear window and twin barn-style doors just below it. Included with this Land Cruiser is a tote containing miscellaneous parts. The engine compartment contains the correct accessories and the Land Cruiser’s undercarriage features correct OEM components, with both in well-maintained and sound condition. A useful photocopied Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser owner’s manual accompanies the vehicle in a 3-ring binder.
