1966 Ford Mustang

Benefiting handsomely from a high-quality restoration, this 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible is a refreshing find and quite unusual with its 200 CI Sprint inline 6-cylinder engine and floor-shifted 3-speed manual transmission. Attractively finished in Wimbledon White paint with a Black cloth power convertible top over Red upholstery and matching loop-pile carpeting, accented by very good chrome and brightwork. In addition to its rarely seen powertrain, the Mustang stays true to its factory specification with manual 4-wheel drum brakes and manual steering. Additional features and options include a ford-scripted AM/FM pushbutton radio, Day/Night rear view mirror, heat/defrost, and added Rally-Pac tachometer and clock, plus retrofitted 4-way emergency flashers. The restored and refinished engine bay includes a Gloss Black firewall, inner fenders, and factory components including the chrome air cleaner, FoMoCo windshield washer fluid bag, decals, and emblems. Underneath, the floors are undercoated for sound deadening and the tidy chassis/undercarriage retains OEM factory-type suspension components. A retrofitted set of Magnum 500 5-spoke wheels mounts Cooper Cobra radial G/T tires measuring P215/60 R14 front and P245/60 R14 rear. Following restoration, this Mustang participated in the 2003 Ford Motor Company Centennial Celebration, a fitting appearance for one of the company’s most successful models ever produced.
